Happy Customers & Friends

"Getting to know each and every one of my clients on a personal level is what

helps me create a uniquely special space just for them!"

Kitchen Remodel

I assisted Jeanne in choosing and coordinating countertops, backsplash, flooring, kitchen sink, faucet, lighting and paint colors.  Through the process, we realized that the backsplash was going to be one of the most important parts of the design.  We tweaked the rendering over and over until we got it just right!  I am absoulutely thrilled at how it turned out.  The attention to every detail and the consideration that was made to fit the age and style of the home paid off!

New Home Construction

Building a new home can be one of the most exciting experiences of someones life! But it can also be one of the most stressful!  My goals are to guide clients through this sometimes overwhelming process, assist you in making design choices and keep you on task and within the builders timeline.  I want you to enjoy the process of building your dream home!  Rachelle and I had so much fun working together to design her new home in Bishop Bay's neighborhood in Middleton.  Like with many of my clients, we became great friends and still stay in touch.

Fireplace Transformation
Designed & Staged
to Surprise!

Linda was looking to update her fireplace mantel and surround.  During our initial consultation, we discussed her goals, took measurements and defined what existing features such as her existing wood floor and wall color we needed to coordinate with.  After a trip to the tile showroom, we found several great options to consider in her space.  We worked together to finalize selections then  TK Designs assisted in verifying products quantity needs, placing an order and coordinating the work to be done.  The transformation was incredible!

Statement Backsplash!

Heather and Chris were looking to re-design their existing kitchen space and give it the wow factor it was missing.

I assisted Heather to selecting a new faucet, wall color and tile back splash. Through the process and after removing the matching 4" quartz splash, we discovered that there was a 3/4" gap between the counter top and splash wall.  Because the glass tile we had selected and had our hearts on was not thick enough to cover the gap, I started searching for a solution to our dilemma. Look closely...I was able to find a beautiful patina copper colored pencil liner that not only matched the tile perfectly but also was thick enough to cover the gap along the top of the counter top.  It fit into our design seamlessly!

Bathroom Remodel

Joan and her daughters, Lisa and Susie, hired TK Designs to remodel not one, not two but three of their bathroom spaces.  The master and main bathrooms were completely demo'd and reconstructed.  TK Designs not only assisted clients with the design but also coordinated the work to be done.  We are proud to say we completed the entire project in 7 weeks!  Click on the bathroom photo for additional pictures of these fabulous bathrooms!

Re-Building after
House Fire

Click on the picture above to see photos of the absolute devastation the fire left behind on Rick and Caroline's home.  This was much like working on a new construction project.  Every detail from what texture we wanted sprayed on the drywall, color and style of light switches and trim profiles all the way to choosing flooring, lighting, plumbing, cabinets and more....were carefully selected to ensure a beautifully coordinated and classic design.

Updated Kitchen

Kathy's kitchen is a great example of a light remodel.  We replaced flooring, lighting, counter tops, appliances and cabinets hardware.  Additionally, we added a back splash, under-cabinet lighting and painted ceilings and walls.  Click on pictures above to enjoy before and after photos.

What a fun job!  I had the opportunity to design and stage two bedrooms and a bathroom for two young boys and their family moving from California to Madison WI.  Knowing this was going to be a difficult move for the kids, their father hired me to do the design their rooms so they would be surprised and excited upon their arrival to WI.  After gathering information from their father on the boys's personalities, favorite colors, style preference and hobbies, I custom designed each of these bedrooms.  Every detail including the bedding, the wall color, accessories and furniture were all choosen by TK Designs.  We coordinated painting and furniture delivery too.  Special touches such as UW Badgers T-shirts and hats were placed in their closets and gourmet candy was hidden in their side table and desk drawers!  After a LONG emotional fight, the boys were elated by their newly decorated rooms!  What meant the world to me were the picutres their father texted me of the the boys' reactions that evening!

Basement Remodel

Gail and Matt took on the task of general contracting their own basement remodel.  They hired TK Designs to assist in designing their new basement space which would consist of a living room, office, bathroom and laundry.  Through the process, we were also able to educate and consult on details of the project.  For example, after receiving several bids back for the materials and labor to install a tiled walk-in shower, Gail and Matt were discouraged that a tiled shower would not be in the budget.  I was able to design a shower using cost effective subway tiles and supplied them with contractor that could also do the work at half the cost than what the large showrooms could offer.  Between the savings in material and labor, we were able to create the gorgeous tiled shower they were hoping for!

Custom Stage for Waldner Parade Home

Heidi and Dan Waldner entrusted TK Designs again this year to stage their 2017 Parade Home.  After reviewing blue prints, making site visits, gathering details on what style of cabinetry, lighting, flooring and wall colors had been selected, I customized a stage that would not only fit the style of the home but showcase and highlight Waldner Construction's craftsmanship and attention to detail.  Our goals to always to produce a well coordinated, elegant and classic design were reflected in this job.  Click on the photo above to enjoy more pictures of this lovely home!

New Beginning's with a New Kitchen!

What a spectacular transformation!  Demolition of this kitchen revealed three layers of sub floor, carpenter ants and rotted wood and insufficient supports for the patio door.  Even with the added work to the scope of the project, Tim and Brian were able to finish this kitchen in six weeks!  Mary was able to enjoy her new kitchen with family and friends over the holiday's and it started the New Year off on the right foot!
